Brig. Gen. Uptegraff receives Legion of Merit
FORT INDIANTOWN GAP, Pa. -- Maj. Gen. Wesley Craig, Pennsylvania adjutant general, awarded Brig. Gen. Roy E. Uptegraff III, the Legion of Merit during a ceremony at the installation Oct. 12, 2012. Brig. Gen. Uptegraff is the former commander of the Pennsylvania Air National Guard's 171st Air Refueling Wing. He was awarded the award for his exemplary leadership of the 171st, his exemplary efforts commanding the 313th Air Expeditionary Wing during Operations ODYSSEY DAWN and UNIFIED PROTECTOR, and his work as chairman of the National Guard's Air Directorate Field Advisory Council and KC-135 Weapons System Council.
