29th Annual African-American Heritage Luncheon

The 171st Air Refueling Wing hosted its 29th annual African-American Heritage Luncheon, Friday, February 24, at 10:00 a.m. at the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott, which featured the Principal Director of Space Launch Engineering and Acquisition, Space Systems Group at the Aerospace Corporation, Ms. Karolyn Young as the guest speaker.

The event allows the unit to showcase its accomplishments while celebrating African-American History Month. Invited guests, included politicians, high school principles, counselors, students and 171st unit members who joined together to celebrate this year's theme, "Black Women in American History and Culture."

The luncheon entertainment also included the presentation of the colors by a combined Honor Guard, singing of The Star-Spangled Banner by Senior Airman Lisa Weiss, musical entertainment by Quinton Monteiro and comments from Colonel Steven Painter, 171st Air Refueling Wing, Vice Wing Commander.
